Fedorov (Moon)

Named after A.P. Fedorov - Russian rocket scientist (1872-1920).

Federov is a tiny lunar geologic feature located in the western Mare Imbrium. It lies east-northeast of the crater Diophantus, and southeast of Delisle. About 20 kilometers to the south-southeast is the slightly larger formation of Artsimovich. This feature is slightly elongated and oddly shaped, with a ridge on the northern side. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
