D'Arsonval (Moon)

Named after Jacques Arsène D'Arsonval - French physicist (1851-1940).

D'Arsonval is a small lunar impact crater on the far side. It is situated across the northeastern rim of the older and larger crater Danjon. To the west is Perepelkin. The rim is somewhat worn and it has a low, elongated central ridge near the midpoint. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
