Dorsum Buckland (Moon)

Named after William Buckland - British Earth scientist (1784-1856).

Dorsum Buckland is a large wrinkle ridge in Mare Serenitatis , 380 km long. The feature was named by the IAU in 1976. Dorsum Buckland's ridges are 200 to 300 meters high and were formed by compressional stresses near the center of the basin, possibly over buried basin structures. (wikipedia entry)
