Bondarenko (Moon)

Named after Valentin Vasilyevich Bondarenko - Soviet student-cosmonaut (1937-1961).

Bondarenko is a lunar crater on the far side. It is located to the northeast of the large, dark-floored crater Tsiolkovskiy, and south of the crater Chauvenet. Just to the northeast is Patsaev G, a comparably sized satellite of Patsaev to the west. This is a moderately worn crater formation with a slightly irregular floor. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
