Uruk Sulcus (Ganymede)

Named after the Babylonian city ruled by Gilgamesh.

Uruk Sulcus is a bright region of grooved terrain adjacent to Galileo Regio on Jupiter's moon Ganymede. It is thought to be younger than the darker material elsewhere on the moon. (wikipedia entry)

A sulcus is an are subparallel furrows and ridges. On Ganymede they are named after places associated with myths of ancient people.
