Marius Regio (Ganymede)
Named after Simon Regio - German astronomer (1570-1624).
A regio is a large area marked by reflectivity or color distinctions from adjacent areas, or a broad geographic region. On Ganymede they are named after astronomers who discovered Jovian satellites.
