Reimarus (Moon)

Named after Baer, Nicolai Reymers Reimarus - German mathematician (c. 1550-c. 1600).

Reimarus is a lunar crater, located in the southeastern part 's near side. The eroded southeastern end of the long Vallis Rheita passes just to the west. To the northeast is the larger and heavily worn crater Vega. This is a heavily worn and eroded crater, with an outer rim that has been incised and battered by multiple lesser, later impacts, particularly in the western half. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
