Landau (Moon)

Named after Lev Davidovich Landau - Soviet physicist; Nobel laureate (1908-1968).

Landau is a large lunar crater that is located in the northern hemisphere on the far side. Attached to the southeastern rim is Frost. The outer rim is heavily eroded and modified by subsequent impacts. (wikipedia entry)
