Henry Frères (Moon)

Named after Prosper Frères - French astronomer (1849-1903) and Paul Frères - French astronomer (1848-1905).

Henry Frères is a lunar impact crater that is located in the southwestern part of the near side. It lies just to the west-northwest of the crater Henry, a similar diameter feature. To the west-southwest is the much larger crater Byrgius. Rays from the satellite crater Byrgius A lie across the floor of this formation, forming a wispy trace from west to east. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
