Calypso Rupes (Mercury)

Named after the French; originally commissioned in 1942 as a minesweeper, Calypso was purchased by Jacques-Yves Cousteau and used for oceanographic studies in 1950-1996.

A rupes is a scarp. On Mercury they are named after ships of discovery or scientific expeditions.
