Named after Augustus Edward Hough Love - British mathematician, geophysicist (1863-1940).

Love is an impact crater on the far side. It is located just to the north of the crater Perepelkin. Prager nearly touches the northeastern rim. To the northwest is Bečvář. (wikipedia entry)
