Carrillo (Moon)

Named after Flores Nabor Carrillo - Mexican soil engineer (1911-1967).

Carrillo is a small lunar crater located near the eastern limb. The rim of this crater is roughly circular, with an inner wall that is wider on the western side than to the east. It is located on the western edge of Mare Smythii. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
