Ban Zhao (Venus)

Named after Zhao - Chinese historian (c. A.D. 35-100).

Bān Zhāo was the first known female Chinese historian. She also wrote Lessons for Women, an influential work advising women on how to best honour patrilineal relationships as a wife. She also had great interest in astronomy and mathematics and wrote poems, commemorative writings, argumentations, commentaries, essays and several longer works, not all of which survive. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On Venus they are named after deceased women who have made outstanding or fundamental contributions to their field (if over 20 km). If smaller common female first names are used.
