Sappho Patera (Venus)

Named after Patera - Lyric poetess, Lesbos, Asia Minor (fl. between 580-160 B.C.).

A patera is an irregular crater, or a complex one with scalloped edges. Usually the dish-shaped depression atop a volcano. On Venus they are named after famous women.
