Malibran Patera (Venus)

Named after Maria Felicia Garcia Patera - Spanish/French singer (1808-1836), sister of Pauline Viardot-Garcia (see Viardot Patera).

A patera is an irregular crater, or a complex one with scalloped edges. Usually the dish-shaped depression atop a volcano. On Venus they are named after famous women.
