Hesperia Planum (Mars)

This feature is named after an earlier feature.

Hesperia Planum is a broad lava plain in the southern highlands of the planet Mars. The plain is notable for its moderate number of impact craters and abundant wrinkle ridges. It is also the location of the ancient volcano Tyrrhena Mons (wikipedia entry)

A planum is a plateau or high plain. On Mars they are named after the nearest named albedo feature on the Schiaparelli or Antoniadi maps.
