Ligeia Mare (Titan)

One of the sirens in Greek mythology.

Ligeia Mare /laɪˈdʒiːə ˈmɑːriː/ is a lake in the north polar region of Titan, the planet Saturn's largest moon. Larger than Lake Superior on Earth, it is composed of nearly pure liquid methane. It measures roughly 420 km in length. (wikipedia entry)

A mare is a large expanses of dark materials thought to be liquid hydrocarbons. On Titan they are named after sea creatures from myth and literature.
