Rosenberger C (Moon)

Satellite Feature of Rosenberger

Named after Otto August Rosenberger - German astronomer, mathematician (1800-1890).

Rosenberger is an old lunar impact crater in the southeastern part. Due to foreshortening, this crater appears oval when viewed from the Earth. From orbit, however, the crater rim is nearly circular. This crater is located in a region rich with prominent craters. (wikipedia entry)
