Named after the Matthew Fontaine; American oceanographer (1806-1873); Antonia Caetana de Paiva Pereira; American astronomer (1866-1952).

Maury is a small lunar impact crater named for two cousins. The crater lies in the northeastern part , just to the east of the Lacus Somniorum. The nearest named craters are Hall to the southwest, and Cepheus farther to the northeast. (wikipedia entry)
