Maui Patera (Io)

Hawaiian demigod who sought fire from Mafuike.

Maui Patera is a patera, or a complex crater with scalloped edges, on Jupiter's moon Io. It is located southwest of the eruptive center Maui, south of Euxine Mons, and southwest of the volcano Amirani. (wikipedia entry)

A patera is an irregular crater, or a complex one with scalloped edges. Usually the dish-shaped depression atop a volcano. On Io they are named after words for fire, sun or thunder; volcano gods, heroes, goddesses or mythical blacksmiths.
