Becquerel E (Moon)

Satellite Feature of Becquerel

Named after Antoine-Henri Becquerel - French physicist; Nobel laureate (1852-1908).

Becquerel is a 167 km-diameter crater in Arabia Terra in Oxia Palus quadrangle. The layers appear to be only a few meters thick and show little variations in thickness. Recent studies with HiRISE have determined the exact thickness of the layers. (wikipedia entry)
