Bhabha (Moon)

Named after Homi Jehangir Bhabha - Indian physicist (1909-1966).

Bhabha is a lunar impact crater that is located in the southern part 's far side. It is nearly attached to the southeast rim of the larger crater Bose, and the outer rampart of that crater has produced a slight inward bulge along the northwest face. Other nearby craters of note include Stoney to the east, and Bellinsgauzen to the south. This is a fresh crater with a nicely terraced inner wall. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
