Ohm (Moon)

Named after Georg Simon Ohm - German physicist (1789-1854).

Ohm is a lunar impact crater on the far side. To the northwest is the larger Shternberg, and to the southwest is Kamerlingh Onnes. The exterior surface for about 20–30 km is free of the ray material, but beyond that perimeter is a skirt of higher albedo, with streaks extending to the northwest, east-northeast, and southwards. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
