McClure (Moon)

Named after Robert Le Mesurier McClure - British explorer (1807-1873).

McClure is a small lunar crater. It is located along the western edge of the Mare Fecunditatis, due east of the prominent crater Colombo. To the north is the similar Crozier, and to the southwest is the larger Cook. The outer rim is nearly circular and not significantly worn. (wikipedia entry)

A crater is a circular depression likely created by an impact event. On the Moon they are named after deceased scientists, polar explorers, astronauts or cosmonauts.
